Seven things I've learned (& tend to forget) working the door

1) The best way to 'win' an argument (/not get punched in the face)... Be ready to accede at any moment to the possibility that someone else's perspective is a correct one; assume there is more vital information than you have witnessed. 2) There is an urge to make assumptions about others' unvoiced expectations of you... acting from these only  creates distrust/disharmony. Genuine action has genuine effect. 3) Authority is freely assignable. 4) Very Kind People are Very Important People. 5) (More than desperation, fear, or anger) Entitlement is the human characteristic most primed for violence. 6) You(/we) are wrong. Try to build kindness into your blind spots. 7) Security is an illusion. The world is a grand absurdity.
